The Problem

Taco Bell wanted to tap into Gen Z’s obsession with "treat culture," which had become a form of attainable escapism. For Gen Z, grabbing a snack is more than just satisfying a craving. The challenge was how to make Taco Bell’s Cheesy Dipping Burritos Gen Z’s treat of choice.

The Solution

We connected with Gen Z’s love of treats by tying it to their need to avoid awkward situations. Escapism took on two meanings when we connected snacking tendencies to the Gen Z idea of “dipping out” of a cringe moment.
